2024 Mazda cx 5 rear hatch won

I work at a mazda dealer. Open the tailgate manually and leave it open, take both the cables OFF the battery and hold them together (when the cables are OFF the battery) re install the cables on battery and wait a minute. Close the tailgate manually. Cycle the car to key on engine off, wait about 30 seconds then key off.. Room for rent dollar400 a month

I haven't tried the other yet but can't get hatch to lock even using inside door lock button. Will try the other fob but I know new batteries were good. Somebody mentioned the BCM...
